Sukhbir Badal exposes the inefficient and incompetent working of the SAD-BJP Govt.
Sukhpal Singh Khaira MLA Bholath
Two Major news reports published today have completely blown the lid of much hyped development as being claimed by the junior Badal and has also exposed the inefficient and incompetent working of the SAD-BJP Govt.
First report pertains to complete ‘Bandh’ and protest march organised by ordinary residents of Jalalabad town highlighting poor health facilities in the town. Needless to mention Jalalabad is represented by Sukhbir Badal in the assembly and he had won with a thumping majority of over 80,000 votes. It is more than clear that the residents of Jalalabad have lost confidence in their elected representative. If Sukhbir Badal cannot satisfy the aspirations of his voters in one constituency what is the point in hopping across the state showcasing mega development projects merely for cheap political publicity, questions the congress party? While people of Punjab are crying for better basic services such as education, health care, safe drinking water, employment etc. the junior Badal is on his feudal agenda of building express highways, five star hotels, cricket stadiums, airports, something which only the rich can afford says the congress party.
The second news report Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) announced by Sh. Kalia Local Bodies Minister engaging two private firms by paying Rs. 1.25 crores to decongest cities, is this not failure, surrender by a department which has town planners and other municipal expert staff? What is PUDA and the entire local Bodies paraphernalia for, questions the congress? Is it a case of having no confidence on its own senior employees by the Punjab Govt.? The congress party is of the opinion that by engaging private firms to prepare CMP, the incompetence, inability and failure of the govt. looms large on the SAD - BJP govt. which otherwise makes tall, lofty claims for the development of the state.
Congress demands that the said contract given to private firms at the cost of public exchequer be scrapped immediately and the CMP must be got prepared by none else but the top heavy bureaucracy sitting idle in their plush offices.
