MAJITHIA DARES CONGRESS TO FIGHT SGPC POLL ON ITS PARTY SYMBOL
Chandigarh, June 03:
Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia, Patron Youth Akali Dal and former Minister today dared Congress party to test its popularity amongst the Sikh masses by fighting the ensuing SGPC election on party symbol rather than piggy-backing on Congress sponsored dubious Panthic Organizations.
Reacting to the statement of Congress MLA Mr. Sukhpal Singh Khaira FOR supporting anti-SAD candidates in SGPC elections, Mr. Majithia said that Congress that had exposed its killer face in 84 anti Sikh carnage and subsequent clean chit to accused, does not want to face the Sikh voters, fearing imminent decimation in the polls. He said that Congress instead of facing reality was bent upon confusing and dividing Sikhs. He said that it would fail miserably in its game as Sikhs were well aware of ‘divide and rule policy’ of Congress party.
Mr. Majithia said that after failing miserably to divide and create parallel SGPC in Haryana and dividing Punjab Sikhs by Para trooping Congress sponsored agents from Delhi, Congress party was again in its old games to create division in the Sikh voters. He said that since independence, the Congress Party had always tried unsuccessfully to interfere in the religious affairs of Sikhs by supporting splinter Panthic organizations and faced total rejection. Mr. Majithia said that Congress party should accept the reality of its total rejection by Sikh voters. He said that a party giving clean chit to Tytler and patronage to Sajjan Kumar despite being charge sheeted has no moral right to espouse Sikh cause.
