PUNJAB CM CONDOLES THE SAD DEMISE OF MAHARAJ KRISHAN

CHANDIGARH JANUARY 20:
Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today expressed
profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of noted industrialist
and a social activist Mr. Maharaj Krishan Khanna, the father of
Editor-in-Chief Daily Uttam Hindu Mr. Irvin Khanna who died at
Jalandhar last evening after a prolonged illness. He was 84 and
is survived by two sons and a daughter.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister said that Mr. Khanna
was a multi-faceted personality with the qualities of head and
heart who made an immense contribution towards the welfare of
unprivileged section of the society with missionary zeal.
Mr. Badal also expressed heartfelt sympathies with the members
of the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty to grant peace
to the departed soul and give strength and courage to them to
bear this irreparable loss.
Meanwhile, the SAD President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal also condoled
the passing away of Mr. Maharaj Krishan Khanna.
