CONGRESS'S DESPERATE FLIGHT TO POWER CRASH
LANDS-
VOTE BANK POLITICS EXPOSED PUBLICLY - SUKHBIR
Chandigarh, April 8
Shiromani Akali Dal President and Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Mr.
Sukhbir Singh Badal today said that Congress Party's desperate flight
for power by provoking Sikh sentiments, firstly by awarding Lok
Sabha tickets to butchers of Sikhs and than facilitating their elections
by granting clean chit to them, has crash landed and now Congress
was looking for covers to hide its face. He said that this episode
has exposed the real anti Sikh face of Gandhi family controlled
Congress Party and belated attempts to cancel the tickets of Sajjan
and Tytler would not wash away this blot from the forehead of this
killers' party.
In a statement issued here, Mr. Badal said that Congress always
treated Punjab as laboratory to carry out experiments to retain
power and was responsible for loss of more than 25 thousand lives
during more than decade dark era of militancy in Punjab. He said
that even heads of various Central Intelligence Agencies, have disclosed
the murky planning hatched by then Congress leadership, to foment
violence in Punjab to garner few extra votes in other parts of the
Country. He said that coterie around Gandhi family tried to repeat
the same experiment provoking the sentiments of Sikhs by ensuring
clean chit to the Tytler, who was held guilty by various commissions,
has backfired on them exposing their shadowy face in the public.
He said that Congress now can not claim to be a 'martyr' after this
suicidal step.
Calling upon all right thinking parties to come on one platform
to expose the real face of Congress Party, Mr. Sukhbir Badal said
that time has come to bundle out this party so that it should not
dare to experiment with the sentiments of people for their parochial
political interests. He said that yesterday's incident, though unfortunate,
was reflective of pent up anguish and anger of whole Punjabi community
of being deliberately denied justice, even after 25 years of massacre
of over 4000 Sikhs in the country.

Angered by Clean chit to Tytler; SAD1920 to support
Shiromani Akali Dal
• Youth Congress’s Senior Vice President join Shiromani
Akali Dal along with 101 supporters
Chandigarh, April 7
Congress party today found itself cornered on the crucial issue
of giving clean chit to Tytler and Sajjan, as SAD 1920 today equivocally
deciding to support Shiromani Akali Dal candidates in Bathinda and
Faridkot with a singular aim of punishing and defeating Congress
party.
Addressing a massive gathering of SAD 1920’s workers in
the presence of Shiromani Akali Dal President and Deputy Chief Minister
Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal at village Burj Mahima of Bathinda district,
Mr. Gurdeep Singh General Secretary Shiromani Akali Dal 1920 said
that keeping in view the role played by congress party in giving
clean chit to the architects of 84 riots, his party has decided
to support SAD on two seats to keep congress away from power. He
said that despite ideological differences with Shiromani Akali Dal
his party would not compromise on the issue of injustice to the
’84 riot victims by the congress party and would make every
effort to isolate this killer party on this crucial issue. He said
that party would soon take a decision regarding supporting SAD candidates
on other seats shortly.
Welcoming the SAD 1920’s decision, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal
called upon all like minded and justice loving parties to come on
one platform to ensure justice to 1984 riot victims and punish congress
party responsible for promoting leaders guilty for the worst ever
massacre of innocent people in independent India. He said that with
this decision Congress party stand fully exposed and now they are
trying to rub salt on the 25 years old wounds of victims just for
vote bank politics.
Later at village kot fatta when media ask for his comments on the
episode of daily based Jagran journalist Jarnail Singh throwing
shoe on Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambram after being refused answer
on clean chit to Tytler by CBI, Mr. Badal said that press represents
society and this incident was reflection of pent-up anger in the
people on the sensitive issue of awarding the leaders responsible
for 84 anti Sikh riots and managing clean chit from CBI to the main
accused.
Here, Congress party suffered a major jolt as Mr. Parmjeet Singh
Dhillon, who was Senior Vice President Youth Congress Punjab and
President Youth Congress Bathinda for last decade, joined Shiromani
Akali Dal along with his 101 supporters in the presence Shiromani
Akali Dal President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal. Mr. Parmjeet said that
he and his supporters took this decision against the nomination
of an outsider, the role played by congress party in giving clean
chit to the culprit of ’84 riots. He said that development
works initiated by SAD-BJP in the area also attracts them to join
Akali Dal. He said that they were all set to ensure forfeiture of
deposit of Congress candidate. Interestingly those who joins Shiromani
Akali Dal includes a large number of women.
JOURNALIST'S ACTION INDICATIVE OF DEEP ANGUISH OVER
THE CLEAN CHIT TO TYTLER AND OTHERS: BADAL ON SHOE THROWING INCIDENT
Chandigarh April 7: The Punjab Chief Minister, Mr. Parkash Singh
Badal said here today that the shoe-throwing incident at the Union
Home Minister, Mr. P. Chidambaram's press conference in New Delhi
this morning should serve as an 'eye opener' for the Center, especially
for the Congress party, about the depth and magnitude of pain and
angst over clean chits given to those guilty of the unspeakable
horror of the 1984 massacre of thousands of innocent Sikhs by the
Congress goons.
"This pain and angst is not confined merely to the Sikh community
but is shared by all the right-thinking people in the country and
all over the world. The horrendous and brutal genocide of innocents
was a crime not just against the Sikh community but an outrage against
humanity of which the Congress party at the Center and the States
should be permanently ashamed. The victims have been awaiting justice
for nearly 25 years. What has rubbed salt into their wounds now
is the unabashed clean chit given to Mr. Jagdish Tytler by the CBI,"
said Mr.Badal in a statement here this afternoon.
The Chief Minister said that it was significant that the journalist
in question, Mr. Jarnail Singh, has no history of fundamentalist
leanings and is in fact a liberal, educated Sikh, with no political
affiliations. "The legality or decorum of the method adopted
by him might be called into question but there is no mistaking the
sanctity of his pain and the justness of his cause", said Mr.Badal.
The Chief Minister further said that various independent judicial
Commissions, including the Nanawati Commission, had indicted Mr.
Jagdish Tytler, Mr. Sajjan Kumar and many of their senior Congress
colleagues for their inhuman role in the 1984 massacre. But instead
of prosecuting them, the successive Congress governments at the
Center have chosen to subvert the law of the country and outrage
all norms of civilized human behaviour in order to shield the guilty
men of 1984. The Congress party honoured Mr.Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan
Kumar with party tickets for the Lok Sabha even before managing
a CBI clean chit for them. Still more disgracefully, these men had
been given Cabinet berths by successive Congress Governments since
1984.
Mr.Badal caller for immediate prosecution of Mr. Tytler and Mr.
Sajjan Kumar and others guilty of grave crimes against humanity
in the dark days of November1984.
