A pall of gloom descended at nearby village Bhullarai
on Wednesday when the news of the death of an NRI
couple Baldev Singh of village Bhullarai and his wife
Kashmir Kaur (parental village Noorpur) in an accident
in Italy on Tuesday reached the village.
Three children of the couple were injured in the accident.
An Akali activist and village Bhullarai resident Jasbir
Singh Bhullarai, while confirmig the death of the
couple, said Baldev Singh was the first villager to
settle in Italy two and half decades ago.
The family was going in a car from their house in
Roma Tobergamo city to meet their relatives.
Their car and a trailer were involved in an accident
near Bergamo. The couple died on the spot.
