"Hasda Punjab Group brought my village memory back when I was listening these old folk songs in my village before coming here," Jagwinder Mann told NRI Press. "Even I forget that I am sitting in America."
The prepared show as well as the instantaneous performances of the honored guests were a pleasant surprise to everyone. The program ended late into the night with everyone still holding on to their seats. The organizers did an excellent job of bringing the community together to enjoy their common heritage and language and music. Thanks in part to Gurdeep Grewall and her friends. This suggests that the community was well served and welcome this kind of event. I just hope this is only the start and there are more to come.”
Most of the time Musical Group like to have full hours and full stage for themselves however Gurdeep Grewall and her group shared the Hasda Punjab stage with Punjabi Poetry book writer Jaswant Singh Dhillon and his friend who also entertained the audience with his own written poetry song and dance. Shocking and most enjoyable dance by American artist Borka while Gurdeep Grewall sang live Punjabi song and Borka showed her action matching with Bollywood style.
There were both young males and females’ vibrant Bhangra group performed very well by wearing colorful Punjabi Clothes. The surprise item was “Ambi Da Boota“ was also performed by Ajit Kaur. Gurdeep Grewall asked Kamlesh Chauhan to come on the stage as she was the first artist who had introduced and performed once this opera “ Ambi Da Boota “ a Poetry written by Professor Mohan Singh and song sang by well-known artist from Kenya Deedar Singh Purdesi .
Lou Terretora, a well known realtor and photographer told NRIpress:
The guests waltz in one group at a time, but eventually, the house was packed. It was a night of classical Punjabi music, dance and entertainment. Based on the audience reactions, one can tell that they were all having great fun. It took a lot of work to pull this off together: the decorations, the stage, the talents who performed and the choice of food. As I non-Indian speaker, Punjab or what-have-you, I can only legitimately comment on the food; and I should say that I really liked them a lot.
