A bi-lingual film in Hindi and English 'Sonia-Sonia',
on Sonia Gandhi, is likely to hit the screens by August
15.
NRI Film's writer-producer-director T D Kumar said
in Mumbai that the dramatised version of Ms Gandhi's
life included in the film are her meeting with former
Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at the varsity restaurant
in Cambridge, her life in the Gandhi family when she
was not in politics and the reasons why she joined
politics and her refusal to accept the Prime Ministership.
He also produced and directed 'Nehru-Jewel of India'
in Hindi and English
- Music by: Sanjay Chaudhary, the son of
noted music composer Salil Chaudhary.
- Purva Parag, NSD graduate plays Sonia Fernandes,
while Asha Sharma plays Indira Gandhi and Samir
Ali portrays Rajiv Gandhi. Nicky Tiwari is Ketan,
the NRI filmmaker.
