Punish “guilty” NRI: Mulayam

LUCKNOW: Taking strong exception to an internet video purportedly showing Mahatma Gandhi dancing with bar girls, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav on Friday said the centre should not remain silent and the NRI, who allegedly made the film, should be punished.

“We have taken the matter very seriously...The centre should forthwith take steps to punish the guilty NRI,” he told reporters here.

Claiming that the centre was silent on the matter, he said “The centre also remained silent on the killing of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussain”.

“Those reaping dividend from the Nehru’s legacy must also follow his advice that the government should protest wherever there is a violation of human rights in the world,” he said.

An internet video allegedly made by an NRI showed the Father of Nation dancing with bar girls.
