January 20, 2006
Bollywood it has been reported Sheetal Sheth has been told to have implants if she wants to make it in hollywood.

According to the Hollywood rumour machine Sheetal has beeen told that to make it in Hollywood she would need to be willing to go topless in some movie roles. The agents then pointed out that to have 'topless appeal she would need a Hollywood 'Boob job'.

This will seem a strange opinion to give to a stunning, sexy, articulate and glamorous actress.

Sheetal was appalled, when every agent she met in Hollywood insisted she get breast implants, to establish herself in tinseltown.

Sheetal Sheth was born in New Jersey to Gujarati Jain parents. She grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and she was also exposed to her Indian roots during long visits to see her extended family in Gujarat.

Sheth, who was raised in a small New Jersey City and graduated with honors from New York University's Tisch School for the Arts, was shocked that despite the raves her performance had got in her debut film ABCD over four years ago, Hollywood agents were worried about her bust-line. She played a rebellious young Indian woman who resists serious relationships and seeks out sexual trysts in the critically acclaimed but little seen ABCD.

But Sheth is a pioneer in the new Indian American cinema. She has played lead roles in the early Indian American diaspora films, including

Currently Sheth, 30, can be seen in Albert Brooks' new film Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World. This is a huge break for the Indian American actress, who until recently had played small roles on television.

Sheetal Sheth advised boob-job for Hollywood success

Indian actress Sheetal Sheth was appalled, when every agent she met in Hollywood insisted she get breast implants, to establish herself in tinseltown.

The stunning actress, who is all set to debut as a secretary in Albert Brok's new comedy "Looking For Comedy In The Muslim World," has admitted that instead of people having any problem with her name, which she had otherwise presumed, they paid more attention to the size of her boobs.

"I went to Los Angeles and they told me to get boobs. About five different times they have suggested I get breast implants," Contactmusic quoted the horrified actress, as saying.

However, Sheth dismissed these suggestions, and was happy that she has been blessed with "a healthy self-image".

"I just laughed because my body is in proportion. I'm not buxom by any means but I'm a small girl so how much bustier can I be? Thank God I have a healthy self-image," she said. (ANI)
