Monica Bedi, Bollywood actress was acquitted by a court here in a fake passport case. The two court cases of passport forgery are in her favour now.

She spent almost 10 month in jail and kept herself busy by teaching other women prisoners dancing, yoga and English. She always helpful to other girls who wanted to learn some dancing.

Ms. Bedi told reporters:

  • I believe that there was a conspiracy against me and there is .a lot of pressure from media and good wishers on the prosecution.
  • My family has been my strength. If they would not have been backing me, I may be commit suicide.
  • I would definitely like to return to films. I have some movie offers but will not like to disclose them now.I would like to pursue my career in films
  • All I can say is this is all ridiculous talk. There is no truth in this and I'm surprised that people could even believe things like this

Monica's uncle Purshottam Bedi said, "I am leaving for Hyderabad. I will consult her lawyer there. Her father Prem is also reaching Hyderabad. We will decide the next course of action after securing her release."

She is expected to return to her Chabbewal villiage , 10 km on the highway to Chandigarh. Her father still has agriculture land in the village. In 2006, Sikhs from Tarna Dal had help her to fight her case in the court and also offered to provide her physical security.
