I am not a mistake- I am life!

I have met some amazing women from around the world in my life. Some of them with hardly any or no schooling at all; some of them from small villages, others from bigger towns; Some of them under very precarious living conditions, others making a decent living in any way they can; some of them are married, others are widowers and decided to remain that way. But all these women have something in common; they have never purposely killed a life!

Under their conditions, perhaps the right thing to do would be not to have as many children; but where there is food for two or three; there is food for four or more. There is not a trace of the youth, nor the beauty they once had; but what a blessing it is to hear their children’s voices around the house calling them “Mom”.

A few years ago, a complete stranger crossed my path for about an hour or so. She was young, beautiful, and had a life full of plans ahead of her. She was deserted by the man she loved; the moment she said “I will become a Mom”. She was scared, sad and confused about what to do with her life. She decided the easiest, but yet most painful way out; she purposely wanted to kill a life.

She wanted to go back to her old self and uncompromised living. She was concerned about all she would have to give up, to give to the seed of life within her a chance. I wished to have the power to make her see all she would gain, if her choice was pro life. No other time is a woman more beautiful and pure source of divine, than when she feels the angelical music of her baby’s heart-beat calling her “Mom”

I still wonder if she ever enjoyed the privilege of becoming a mom. I went back to the same place a few times, but I never saw her again. Some people believe the world doesn’t need more children and become instruments of purposefully killing an innocent life; however, everyone that is for abortion has already been born. Oh, wait a minute, it is not a life yet. If it isn’t a baby, then you are not pregnant, so what are you aborting?

Mommy, you can’t see me yet; you’ll love me, just wait and see. Mommy, my little hands, face and toes are forming now; you’ll love me, just wait and see. Mommy, I feel safe and warm; I go to sleep with every beating of your heart. Mommy, when you hold me in your arms, I will comfort you; you’ll love me, just wait and see. Mommy, what is happening? I do not understand. Mommy, why are you quickly making me die? Mommy, I am not a mistake- I am life!
