Memories with a Purpose in Life…

“Don’t kill my parents! Please don’t kill them! In the name of God, don’t kill my parents, she repeatedly said. The evil people covered their faces with a piece of red cloth. Their eyes were charged with anger and hatred towards innocent people…Innocents whose only fault was to become prisoners of terrorism on earth. For the well being of a nation they fought- so they claimed. They marched to the triumph of a revolution that would free them from the imperialism of the wealthy Americans and the Jews. On their way to victory they destroyed families, the innocence of a child, human faith, and the work of a life-time”.

It’s impossible for her to forget that day…it’s like asking God to forget who she is. It’s a memory of sorrow that will hunt her for the rest of her life…it’s a shadow of pain that has no shelter but her soul. She was frightened to witness the evil of which man is capable. Standing on a human bloody-lake her sweaty and trembling little hands became one to surrender in prayer and embrace with faith her only God. For many hours she heard the screams of agony from those falling around her. They begged for mercy, but they were taken from their last breath of life one by one. It was a valley of desolation and misery where only God could perform a miracle…the miracle of her life!

Only seven years old and she tasted the cup of sorrow and bitterness of this world. Injustice was done onto her and loved ones for the only reason of being ‘different’- some hated them for being friends of the Americans, others did for being Jewish. In a circle some people battled between life and death…they were so weak they could hardly cry out for help. She begged for some water for her mother…instead, she was given a container with human waste.

The sky was black and the soil was red- all of the sudden a man with his face covered with a piece of red cloth set them free! He said to know her parents from another land and time. A choir of angels sang above the clouds “I know God Lives” Yes! She knows God lives- her life was saved by a power greater than any evil on earth! She is a woman now and she knows to walk by faith and not by sight. I am that little girl and I have to tell the world that God’s purpose for you and I, is more powerful than any evil on earth!
