A Prison without Walls…

By age seven I had read a lot of great books. The greatest book I have read- The Bible. I learned that we are spiritual beings “living” a human experience. And, if we could only discover our Divine essence, and learn to see our time on this earth from a spiritual perspective; we will not only remember our mission, but our eternal purpose. You do not have to believe or agree with what I say- Like Mr. Ralph Martson says “Let go of your attachment to being right, and suddenly your mind is more open. You are able to benefit from the unique view points of others, without being crippled by your own judgment”.

This life, the future, and eternity belong to those who are brave and courageous. This is half the journey- to be here- we proved we are brave. During this human experience, it takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace our spiritual essence-hardly known to many of us. But the reality is that there is no security in this “material” world. We are the exit and the entrance to the world we perceive, and therefore we experience.

A short tale comes to my mind, about the richest man on earth that came to know about the existence of the wisest man in a very far away land. The richest man crossed mountains, rivers, and valleys to reach such a remote place. He was anxious to meet the man whose mind held all the knowledge, formula, and understanding of the mysteries of the world. In disbelief he was, when his servant knocked on the door of a very humble hut. “This is the wisest man?” the richest man asked. Yes, this is him- the servant replied. “You have the power to have anything you want in this world, and this is how you live?” the richest man questioned. “Where are your belongings?” the wisest man asked. “I am a foreigner… I do not live here and I have travelled from far… this is all I have” the richest man replied. The wisest man said “I am a foreigner myself in this life… I just temporarily live here and I have also travelled from far…this is all I have”.

If we let fear govern our life in any sense- we might have the reward of the assessed- but we will not understand the meaning of life. Some of us think that we should let things happen-but destiny is not chance- but choice. When we choose and not choose- we are not only taking responsibility for our life, but we are making life happen- for better or for worse. So, life cannot be waited for…life has to be achieved! The best part is that we do not need anyone’s approval. Much less, we need to compare ourselves to anyone’s life…this is your book and writing. Life is about taking risk- if we don’t- we do not feel, we do not change, we do not grow, live and love. See, we have no right to complaint-when life itself- grants us the opportunity to be a hero or a coward in the book of our life. When we risk and live fearless- dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive. Our mind transcends limitations and our consciousness expands to all directions of the universe. In the words of Ms. Bernadette Devlin “To gain what is worth having, it might be necessary to lose everything else”. The spirit has no age. Biological age does not matter. We can’t retire our experience- we must use it! If we do not risk thinking and acting, we become victims of our environment- A prison without walls. Some of us might have the knowledge, intelligence and experience- but without force to reform and transform- we will fail.
