Memories with a purpose in life

It would be impossible for her to forget that day. It would be like asking God to forget who she is. It is a memory of sorrow that will hunt her for the rest of her life. It is a shadow of pain that has no shelter but her soul.

She was so scared; among a river of tears, her eyes were frightened to witness the evil of which man is capable. Standing on a human bloody-lake; her sweaty and trembling little hands became one, to surrender in prayer and embrace with faith her only God.

She could hear for hours the screams of agony from the people falling down around her. Begging for mercy, people were taken away from their last breath of life. It was a valley of desolation and misery; where only God could perform a miracle- The miracle of her life!

She was only seven little years old; but, she had already tasted the cup of sorrow and bitterness of this world. Injustice was done onto her and her loved ones for the only reason of being different. Some people hated them for being friends of the Americans; others did, for being Jewish.

The world was angry at her and at the people she loved; but, she could not understand why. It was an unjust world-hungry for power…A world that did not believe in God. Around her, some people battled between life and death; but, they were so weak that they could hardly cry out for help. Some were tied-up, with their hands back, in a circle facing each other’s back. There were men, women, pregnant women, and children dying from thirst, hunger and cold for many days, in a circle of death.

Do not kill my parents! Please, do not kill them! In the name of God, please, do not kill my parents, she repeatedly said. The evil people had their faces covered with pieces of cloth in red. Their eyes were charged with anger and hatred towards innocent people…Innocent people; whose only fault, was to become prisoners of terrorism on earth.

For the well being of a nation they fought, so they said. They marched to the triumph of a revolution that would free them from the imperialism of the wealthy Americans and Jews. On their way to victory; however, they destroyed families, youth, the innocence of a child, human faith, and the work of a life-time.

The seven year old girl begging for some water for her parents; she was given a filthy container with human waste. Her mother, not so far from where she was, asked her to keep on praying to the God of Abraham. A mother unable to do anything for her child feared the uncertain future of her little girl; if she gave up to life. The evil men with their faces covered with red pieces of cloth; demanding to stop calling for a God that obviously did not exist. Where is your God? They said. We want to see His power, they claimed.

The little girl could hear the musical background of bombs attacking everywhere. The sky was covered in black from the smoke of bombs; and, the soil was tinted red from the blood of innocent lives. A man with his face covered with a red piece of cloth on his face; like an angel out of nothingness, approached the parents of the little girl-And, set them free! He claimed to know her father from another land and another time.

The little girl and her parents left that land to freedom…A choir of angels sang from above the sky “I know God lives”. Yes! The little girl and her parents know that God lives. How could she forget what happened that day? How could she forget that her life and that of her parents was saved by a power greater than any evil on earth?

That little girl is a woman now. She is still hunted by the sorrow and the pain that her eyes had to witness so many years ago. However, her soul rejoices to know that there is a loving God all across the sky. Her Heavenly Father spared her life and that of her beloved ones; and, she knows that there is a special purpose and reason for that…Nevertheless, the most important teaching of her experience was to know that she had to live by faith and not by sight. And, to never compromise her love and devotion for the only God there is…The creator of this still beautiful world she lives in.

I am that little girl. And, this told story is as much real as the fact that I live. I have shared it just a couple of times; but, I am ready to share it to the world. Everyday, I prepare for the purpose of my life on this earth; which is the reason that my Heavenly Father spared my life. In the mean time, I have to share the fact that God lives like you and I. And, God’s love and His purpose for you and I is stronger than any evil on earth.
