Dussehra Diwali Mela on October 13 at Norwalk, California

The Hindu community of Southern California and Global peace foundation Inc. California arranged  Grand  Dussehra Diwali Mela at Excelsior High School ground, 15711 Pioneer Blvd in Norwalk CA.  More than 3000  people attended the function with clown for children to entertain, enjoyed shopping at the stalls, eating mouth-watering food and meeting family & friends. It was fun filled function for all ages what was remarkable about the show was that audiences could participate in dance.

At 4 pm, seminar started with well known speakers Swami Girishji from Chinmaya mission of Austin TX and Brahmin Rating Agawam from FL in Excelsior auditorium and  Congressman Ed Royce blessed the seminar.

Manorama Sharma M.D did wonderful job as emcee. Lamp lighting was done with chief guest Dr Manmohan and Pinky Nayyar, Mr. Avadhesh Agarwal, Dr Praksh Narain Mayor Pro term Cypress and Mr. Harry Sidhu Mayor Pro term Anaheim  who spoke about Diwali Mela.

Around 6.30 pm,   the program started with Bhajan by Preetysha followed by Ganesh vandana  with colorful dances from students of different dance schools performing Rajesthani, Gujarti,, Bhangra, Kathak and Bharat Natyam and Bollywood dances.

Manorama Sharma M.D spoke about vision of Global Peace Foundation Inc , to involve young children  and families in cultural activities. She also introduced committee members and thanked every one for their support.  Young Children from Savitri Art Academy Students of Dr Sinduri presented beautiful Bharat Darshan representing different states of India.

Preety Shah and her full Band entertained crowd with Ballywood songs and Dandiya Rass till 11 p.m,  still people did not want to leave.
