charged with bribery and money laundering.

NRI Sushil Bansal, 41, president and chief executive
of the contracting firm Advanced Integrated Technologies Corp. (AITC)
was arrested for bribery and money laundering. He was released on
personal recognizance.
Yusuf Acar, 40, the Chief Technology Officer, head of IT Technology
at Washington DC city government’s Office was also arrested
for kickbacks, bribery, conspiracy, money laundering and conflict
of interest.
Bansal received multiple contracts from the D.C. Office of the
Chief Technology Office- IT, anti-spyware support and to develop
Web-enabled applications. Advanced Integrated Technologies Corporation
( AITC) is an end-to-end Technology and Business Process Outsourcing
Services company, serving the Government and Commercial sectors
in the global market through multiple onshore and offshore centers,
based out of USA and India.
According to Federal agents, Bansal's company received more than
$13 million in revenue from D.C. Office of the Chief Technology
Office in 5 years
Federal agents found the records that Bansal's firm paid $200,000
to a Circle Networks Inc. Yusuf Acar is a partner Circle Networks
Inc. and this company generated about $2.2 million in revenue through
D.C. government contracts. As a Chief Technology Officer, head of
IT Technology at Washington DC, Yusuf Acar should not have an interest
in private company
In 2006-2007, Bansal's firm issued $70,201 in checks to Acar's
wife, Galen.
Yusuf Acar was working in this office since 2004.
The Federal agents has also found $70,000 in cash from his home.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas Hibarger told a federal judge that
Acar is a flight risk and could easily flee to his country, Turkey.
Yusuf gave contracts to Bansal as a vendor to buy software items.
Bansal ordered few software items, billed larger amount to D.C.
Office and later they split the margin.
Last year in March, Yusuf recruited one employee- electrical engineer
and tried to involve him in bribery and kickback operation. The
employee became informant to FBI and recorded all conversation between
Yusuf and Bansal. The informant received $8,247 from Bansal's company
and also received cash $3,520 from Bansal

Vivek Kundra: Last week, President Barack Obama appointed
him Federal Chief Technology Officer to help oversee government
technology for the ability of computer systems to speak to each
other and security for vast federal information databanks.
- His office was raided by FBI agents because of kickbacks, bribery,
conspiracy, money laundering and conflict of interest there.
- In 2007, he was appointed to the Washington post and held it
when Bansal’s contract was awarded.
It is not confirmed that Vivek Kundra, 34, involved in any wrong
doing. He has taken a leave of absence according to White House
officials
